Developing Social Emotional Learning skills through Therapeutic Tabletop Roleplaying Games
Sunshine&Shadow Counseling is excited to offer a Social Emotional Skills group for children ages 8-12 utilizing the therapeutic roleplaying game, Venture Society. (For more information about Venture Society, please read this review)
This group will work on building social skills, cooperative problem solving, assertive communication skills, and much more. Through the creation of characters and interactive role playing of those characters, your child will have the opportunity to engage with peers, use their imagination, and build confidence in themselves while collaborating to solve challenges and tasks.
This group operates on rolling enrollment, meaning, you are welcome to join at any time! You do not need to be an already established client to join and do not need to attend every session in order to participate. You can attend in person at our office in Red Lion, PA, or you can attend virtually!
Sessions are $20 per child for an hour of play time (cash, check, and card payment accepted), paid at the time of the session.
We are currently offering role playing sessions on Wednesdays from 7-8 PM. Stay tuned for more session times offered in the future.
